Not true. Look at history. The more developed country often sent low value jobs to less developed countries. In the 50s it was Japan. As Japn gets more developed Jobs moved to Korea Taiwan and Hong Kong. As they become more expensive. They went to China. Now China gets wealthy, it is Vietnam and SE Asia. The factories in Vietnam are actually owned by Chinese. It is free market and capitalism.

@AaxeVENTURE You do realize the large majority of engineers are Chinese. If you get rid of all Chinese, you will have no high tech industry left.

Not only that. THey are also ungrateful. During 2008, US requested China to buy more debt to help US economy. THey bought a record number of treasury to help bail out US. I guess they are not gonna do that again. China owns 27% of the US debt and is the largest debt holder. Do you go beat up your banker after he loaned you 2 trillion dollars?

There are options but they're not pretty. China can dump US debt, but that will hurt China too. They can also stop selling REM to US, but that would hurt Chinese manufacturing too because REM is also used in Chinese made US good. The difference is China is pragmatic and US doesn't mind hurting its own citizens. There are more farm bankruptcy in Iowa in 2018 than 2008.

@themorosepittbull257 Actually if you think about it. US is getting the goods for free. All the money that were made are sent back to US to buy treasury. 27% of US debt is owned by China. You can't afford to buy from anybody else.

The subsidy is not there for the average farmers. The majority went to large corporation. In 2018, there are farm bankruptcy than 2008.

@AaxeVENTURE The product in Vietnam, Indonesia and so on are made by Chinese owned factories. Most low end product manufacturing have moved out of China. Trump tried to put tariff on Indonesia because their steel mill is owned by Chinese.

@SAVikingSA What IP theft? There has only been one complaint in the last 10 years in WTO and it is about fake good. US's IP expert representative said the IP theft is exaggerated and China has the largest IP court in the world. I know you're gonna say it is fake. Look it up. The court ruled most of the time for foreign company and was accused of bias favoring foreign company.

@SAVikingSA Dude, I am giving you facts and nothing but facts. How is that shilling? If you have alternate facts please post them. Please also check out Rubio's new bill. Basically Rubio proposed banning Huawei from collecting 5G licensing fee from Verizon. That is trying to legalize IP theft. I have done a lot of work on IP theft because I'm in the tech business. Opening your mind is not a bad thing.

@SAVikingSA Let me give you a recent example. DoJ sued a Chinese company for IP theft for a company called Micron in San Diego. It was thrown out of court because they do not have jurisdiction. This started when Micron sued a Taiwan company for trade secret theft. There is a difference between trade secret and IP. IP has an expiration date and trade secret does not. However, trade secret are sometimes not unique idea. Any way, what happened is there is a Chinese company contracted a Taiwanese company to develop a DRAM for them. There is no secret in making DRAM. It is in the text book. But making them cheap is a trick. The Taiwanese company, UMC then hired a bunch of experienced engineers from Micron. So Micron sued UMC in Taiwan. All the MSM are screaming IP theft, China etc. So I checked with EETimes, an industry newspaper. As it turns out UMC has a complete different design than the Micron one. The kicker is UMC counter sued Micron on their memory modules design and was found guilty of violating UMC's patent. Go read Micron last year's annual report. The CEO said it will make a minimal impact on the bottom line. So there's your IP case.

@ontonaught3066 I used to think like that, the past 30 years changed my mind. China has been evolving. They have more freedom now than during Mao. Someone once told me you can't feed a starving man a big feast, he will died from it. The anti-China sentiment is promoted by the US. They can't stand to lose and be number 2. 5G really pissed them off. Not only Huawei became number 1, US don't even have anybody working on 5G. BT and DT had proved US wrong. There is no backdoor in Huawei's equipment. US can't produce any evidence when asked. China is no angel but neither is the US. They made surveillance and spying a big deal. But they surveil more than anybody including China. Freedom of speech? If you support BDS vocally , you can be fined and jailed, there is a law for that. There is a lot of bull shit going on. for example, China is accused of suppressing Muslim which is totally not true. Hui is the largest Muslim minority and they are striving. The difference Uighers committed over 300 terror attack. I am not saying it's right to lock them all up, but the Republicans have the same proposal as China to put their Muslim in a internment camp. That's why I said CCP is more Republican than the Republican. Forget about the propaganda you hear and looked at their policy. No welfare, no union, no worker comp, tax cut for the rich, no healthcare, no same sex marriage. Other than abortion, their policy mirrored Republican agenda. BTW, I'm a democrat.
