Fake news. You 'll need to go to be convicted before you go to jail. Penalty for rioting is 5 to 10 years. Protesting is legal. Illegal assembly is not legal. However, most sentence are suspended or just a community service term.

@JamesConover I feel your pain. There is no honest media. What you see here is only a partial. The cops in this situation is actually trying to save two men kidnapped by the rioters. They were beaten unconscious and rioters refused to let EMS put them in an ambulance. The Western media did not include any rioter footage, only the footage of the peaceful protester in arrival gates. After the protesters apologized, that's when they showed some edited version or they looked like an idiot. On CNN, they edited out the attack on the police and only showed him pulling a gun. The anchor was saying, "look he fell by himself and pulled a gun" Unfortunately the reporter on the scene did not get the memo and told the truth, he was attacked. See James you were lied to by the fake news. To get the truth you need to read all sides of the story.

Please show the link to automatic sentencing. iF hk government can do that, they won't need the extradition law. They can jut send you to China directly.
