The only thing that is Hong Kong/Chinese is their money are mostly in Hong Kong. HSBC and Chartered also priny the money in HK. To say these companies are funded by China is laughable. Other than their location they are really European company with European share holder BRW Hutchinson also owns the Oakland port.

Hutchinson is a huge company that own real estate, telecom nad just about everything. It doesnot have the fore sight of building a dual use facility before China took over. Imagine the owner told his people we need to build it into a dual use facility so one day when China took over, China can force us to use it against US, Does that make sense to you? BTW they own ports across 24 countries including UK and EU.

They were a British company before ROC took over China. They are also a global fortune 500 comapny. Their responsibility is to their share holders. I do not think they want to be in geopolitic. They own ports in US, UK and EU. And the person that manage the port is Polish I believe. Most of the investment were before China took over. THeir former CEO was knighted by the Queen. It is hard to believe it is a front. They are way too rich to get involved.

  31. Taiwan has no will to fight. They have 80K troops and is 60K short. Draft was only for 4 months of service. Now extended to one year. And people are still complaining. Taiwan nade no effort for peace. DPP refused to ahve dialog with China for 8 years. Currently a fisherman was arrested for fishing in Chinese water. Taiwan government refused to talk to China. Arguing it is the fisherman's fault. US support for Taiwan has never been for Taiwan, but more anti-China. If we want Taiwan to continue to oppose China. We should pay them instead.
