  15.  @PoliticalMatter  All countries want high value manufacturing and a market for it. Germany is not going to give up selling Mercedes and BMW to China and make sneakers. Third countries also want more down stream industries. Africa and Latin America don't want to just sell their mineral, they want to use their mineral to build their economy. For example Indonesia has export control on Cobalt and Nickal because they want to make battery as well. Unless you have ALL the mineral, you can't really de-risk. Not selling China a $150m machine is not de-risking. Any way, US will help US de-risk by blowing more pipe line, but is buying LNG from US less risky? Remember US will also sanction their "friends" like Germany, India and Turkey.
