The deficit with China is actually increasing despite tariff cuz US has no consumer manufacturing and will not sell machinery like tractors and semiconductor equipment to China. Only product that is significant are agriculture. US is more expensive than Brazil and also uses banned pesticide. So what can China buy? Services. What is not in the equation is service.
