Second, he didn’t do enough research—he just packed his bags and hoped for the best, ignoring the need to understand life beyond the honeymoon phase of living abroad. Third, he moved without establishing a stable monthly income, which is essential for financial security. Fourth, he rushed into a relationship, overlooking red flags, and likely gave his Filipina girlfriend full control of his money. Most of the homeless expats I’ve seen in Thailand are from the US and UK. It’s a harsh reality that you can’t help someone who isn’t willing to address their own problems.

  2.  @ariathyf144  About the same as they do in America without government assistance. Some locals and expats take pity on them giving handouts. Their countries Embassy would help them get back home if they really wanted to leave.
