@alanrobertson9790 that's your problem right there. You assume everyone is in an echo chamber like you. You've completely normalised being an echo chamber because you've been in one for so long. The fact that I'm here on this channel and listen to trigganometry completely disproves your point that I belong in any sort of group that is in an echo chamber. So what i said applies to only ppl like you. I on the other hand. see value in listening to other perspectives. And I also see value in calling out BS when I see it. The hard truth is "the people" as you call them are also best place to be manipulated by unscrupulous people like Farage under the guise of giving you what you want when you don't even know what you want, and secondly would never admit that what you want is bad for the country. You're not the only one who wants things. The people you dislike so much on the other side of the political aisle also want things. No one is obligated to validate you what you want simply because you want it. You're not a child. the populists like Farage to treat you like children, and then you get upset when people also treat you like children. It's up to you to convince everyone else of the merit of what you want. Some immigration is good for the country regardless of how you feel. Striving for net zero carbon emission is something worth investing in for the future of energy security, again regardless of how you feel.

@ltmund political slurs and tools aside, I think the whole point of the video above is that some unscrupulous politicians like Farage are taking advantage of what you call "concerns being ignored" to promise things that they actually don't even know how to deliver. There's a pretense of listening to disgruntled people like yourselves and taking advantage of that to gain political power. I think that's what populism is from the political standpoint
