@darthwiizius To be fair the Light Brigade attacked the wrong guns due to a misunderstanding. Artillery has been around for centuries, and before that there were archers (remember Crecy and Agincourt?), and yet to win a battle at some point you have to attack the enemy. Losses were always inevitable, it was only industrialisation that made them untenable.
