In fact covid and Putler's Ukrainian genocide have taight us that to be sovereign a country needs to be self sufficient in essentials. Thing is, while NATO was sincere about peace, and reduced spending on arms, the ruSSian empire never did.

  3.  @cyberfunk3793  NATO states might only produce 300k shells a year, but they have strong allies in Asia and elsewhere who produce many more, and who will supply civilised countries only.
