  3. so you cant use the hatch in any of the hybrid suvs? ive got a prius c with the battery under the rear seat and ive loaded 800 lbs of bricks on top of the folded down rear seat no problems. having the battery under the seat would help improve handling, improve storage, and be far safer if you get rear ended. idk why they stuck it in the trunk like that

  5. my 2014 prius c collected dog hair through the screen and blocked the cooling passage around the battery. toyota would not pay to fix it altho it was clearly a design flaw. i first took it to the dealer at 94k miles so it was under warranty, but the dealer did a temp repair that lasted until 100k miles at which the battery had to be replaced after the warranty. i paid 2500 to have the dealer replace the battery. now i disassembly the seat to check annually. other than that ive had no problems
