Besides, in adapting a story you can use different kinds of visual symbols to express those same ideas, you don't have to use the same exact ones. Just look at what Lies of P is doing with Pinocchio.

As long as it venerates white people, it's good. If there is even simply an absence of venerating white people, it is bad and qualifies as one of the pressing issues of our times that his audience of millions must dedicate their mental energy to as a serious matter worth much time and consideration devising a solution to (other than just stop giving so much of a fuck about what tiny artistic liberties Disney gets up to, that's not allowed because if this doesn't anger you to the core then you are not a true patriot and hate this country)
