  1. The fact that America has a mental disease of this scale shows that much of it has not evolved past the Salem witch trials or the Dark Ages. This is so beyond our reckoning to deal with. These are overwhelming forces of stupidity that have been haunting this species for millennia that the gratuitous easy access to knowledge should've stopped, but hasn't, because you can bring a horse to water but you can't make it drink
