Invoking Lightyear into the discussion of the Mario movie and Top Gun: Maverick is pretty idiotic, because nobody wanted Lightyear and were confused by the proposition, while people actually did want a Mario movie finally done right and the long awaited Top Gun sequel. Mainstream movie critics also tend to not have expertise in video games and will feel left out, the same happened with Pokemon: The First Movie even though the fans love that one too. And Chris Pratt being a conservative-leaning Christian is about as relevant to the movie's success as Tom Cruise's scientology is to Top Gun: Maverick's lol. And how about Sonic's TWO successful movies prominently featuring an interracial couple? Did Sonic destroy society??
