Conservatives don't want kids to feel guilty about the race they born as, they just want them to feel guilty being ALL THE OTHER THINGS they were born as, like being sinners, being gay, being a woman with a sex drive, being a woman with independent thoughts, being a woman with a compulsion to speak, being poor, and so on. Their whole religion is ALL ABOUT feeling guilty for ordinary human things. But feeling guilty for being associated with causing oppression and slavery? That's the one thing you SHOULDN'T feel guilty about, apparently...
