  2. He's 800 years behind today's toddlers, self-admittedly. He thinks the people of 1220 had everything right. Before biology, microbiology, the industrial revolution, the discovery of America itself let alone its founding as a country. If Michael Knowles hate the modern world so much, I wish he would just "exit" it, instead of ruin it for the rest of us by hitting rewind on so many centuries of progress that generations of people more sensible than him worked hard building. This religious fundamentalism of his never built a single skyscraper. His ideal "civilization" in America must be Salem and their mass hysteria witch trials, except even 1690s Salem is miles ahead of his even more backwards ideal standard of living
