  4. He's using subscriber count as an excuse to avoid confrontation with an intellectual equal/superior. It's not actually about that. He just wants to put out the air of superiority, even though he's the one hiding and has never had a problem with punching low to people he truly believes himself intellectually superior to, despite them having little to no audience. What any non-bitch would do is take down this cocky lefty challenger to elevate himself even further and humiliate his opposition. But Crowder's plan is just as good; he is humiliating himself, as any act of surrender will do.
