  1. That's how it is when I argue with my conservative mom. Endless whataboutism. Slippery eels that cannot be pinned down on any of their own claims or take accountability for what happens under their leadership, it's just always moving and incoherent thoughts bouncing off all the walls. Such sticklers for definitions, and yet their definitions are always fluid and simply a means to an end. Truth is just an annoying distraction from their expression of entitled grievance and superiority complexes, they just want a pinata to beat up on and pretend that solves the issues, except they don't even get candy out of it, they in fact get enraged and attack you when you offer candy to them.

So many different countries and cultures and mindsets within Europe, but since Americans have never in their lives even been to Europe or know anyone from there, they just think of them all as a monolith: "Europe". They do the same with African and Asian cultures. It comes from a complete ignorance as well lack of interest of the specifics any having no incentive to actually learn the geography and how all those specific countries relate to each other
