  1.  @cwg9238 People do prove this shit wrong, all the time. The boring truth never has the same viral spread of exciting lies. In a system that financially incentivizes bad actors over good, the bad actors will be the cream that rises to the top, only the cream is diarrhea. The snake oil salesmen have already run to another town by the time their scam gets found out. Lying is not free speech, it is fraud. A danger for the same reason yelling fire in a crowded theater is not protected speech, or false advertising is illegal, or sneaking undisclosed arsenic in kids gummy vitamins and saying " we didn't specifically say there was NOT arsenic was in it!" is not of any defensible societal benefit. Protecting that sort of use of speech is not useful to anyone except abusers. Free speech absolutism is not a thing any society has because that would be stupid, as every ideologue extreme is. A society that doesn't have an enforcement mechanism to investigate and punish fraud is a dysfunctional society no one would want to live in except the wolves looking for a never-ending supply of sheep. Elon Musk has done everything he can to make Twitter a space friendly to wolves, and when you do that, it is always at the expense of everyone else who is not a total ignorant self-absorbed piece of shit like him. What was once a useful platform is now a 4chan cesspool (we already have 4chan for that), so we have now a pro-dipshit community molded in the image of its dipshit creator. Except he didn't create it, other smarter people did and then he slapped his cringey X on it and whimsically destroyed everything that made it successful piece by piece for the lolz. And so now the internet suffers a tragic loss, thanks to the self-interested actions of one billionaire piece of shit. And this is why billionaires shouldn't even be allowed to come about; that unfettered concentration of power is too risky to the rest of the common people to allow, the honor system is not good enough when they became billionaires by completely abandoning any and all regard for honor. And so the pendulum of the world swings wildly giving everyone whiplash because of the actions of just one endlessly brown-nosed egomaniac with negative IQ. And we allow this... why? Why does this non-American American spoiled brat dictator get the unobstructed god-given right to toss the Twitter infrastructure around like his personal plaything, when we around the world were still using that shit? If he had enough money, could he just buy the entire world? It's not his planet, it's ours. We still live on it, and we make it, not him. Twitter would've been better off with no CEO and being decided upon by the workers who make it than having him as CEO actively lighting everything on fire. One self-imposed idiot shouldn't have say over millions of people. Nobody even voted for him, and he did not get the money he has by being a wise internet community platform leader but from other non-related places (likewise ill-gotten credit built off the backs of other smarter people whose names we'll never know), so this is obviously not meritocracy-based either.
