I think one day, not any time soon but one day, mainland China will become part of the Republic of China due to the "People's" Republic of China's inevitable collapse from sheer incompetence and unspeakable cruelty and perpetual misery. Taiwan's government has integrity and staying power, and China's doesn't. Their authoritarian faux-communist abomination of a government is not fit to manage a hundred people, let alone a billion. Meanwhile, the people of Taiwan are some smart cookies and know how to thrive with very little, and once given access to a billion people I think Taiwan would be clever enough to know how to manage them effectively and humanely. China better put their ambitions of war to rest or they might be the ones to lose the war they started. Let's hope China has the sense to leave well enough alone. And hopefully the people of China one day get the power to stand up against tyranny on their own and not have to leave the task to Taiwan or anyone else to manage after PRC China's ultimate downfall
