@complimentbotd7232 Pretty deep, except for the part where you imply conservatives created the leftist hippie movement personally, instead of being the oppressive force the hippies rose AGAINST. Conservativism by its very nature is to preserve the status quo, not challenge it or change it with improvements, and that includes fighting tooth and nail against anytime a new group of people wants their own freedom. Lib-ertarianism and lib-eral both come from the idea of lib-erty, and conservatism, "interestingly", is their enemy/opposing force. Conservatism is to conserve, or in other words to pretend at constant austerity and made-up zero-sum games like the most prosperous country in America has to worry about hording enough nuts for the winter when we have a fiat currency.
Your mentality is "now, now, let's not blame the Nazis for WW2". The "both sides" is there is an aggressor, and a defender, and that apparently both are equally valid. The bullied should not be expected to get along with their bully, especially if the bully is still deadset on continuing their bullying ways. If the world were to avoid correctly identifying Nazi ideology and rhetoric itself to be the enemy of and root cause of that conflict, it would walk right into that trap of allowing megalomaniacal fascists to run roughshod over literally everyone else all over again.
