This is an awesome level of transparency and viewer convenience you don't often see in journalism. Extraordinary work

just_a_turtle_chad Because Ukraine invited them, bot

Same happened to China

@TurtleChad1 Ukraine stayed within the borders of Ukraine. Russia's the one who walked into Ukraine's alleyway, and they were the ones picking fights and trying to take ownership of the alleyway

You are such a good interviewer, you know how to present challenging and thought-provoking questions. Even as an American I wish we had more people like you here. Shoutout to Alexandra and Anya & Sonya too

There were plenty of people voicing opposition with concentrated force against those wars. The protests aren't the magical solution to end these wars, but it certainly applies pressure to the decision-makers at the top. Just showing that their propaganda is not working is a loss of face for them and their country's standing in the world. If the outcry is loud enough, they can't ignore it forever

War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength, hate is love

Imagine trying to make your country #1 in the world when apathy is the primary emotion driving the culture. Apathy makes people weak. You cannot be a world leader with weak people. What makes people strong is the flame in their hearts, and the Russian government does everything it can to snuff that flame out of its people, and out of the people beyond its borders in Ukraine. The Russian government will never be in a position of strength since all it does is make everything within and without weaker. Other countries will be repulsed by this Russian vision of the world and just flock to those that give them strength instead. Russia is NATO's best ally, because Russia drives so many new wannabe recruits to NATO, by showing them an alternative that is absolutely dreadful to all involved. All of Russia's neighbors absolutely detest having Russia as their neighbor, and that really should say it all about what they have to offer to the world

I'm surprised he doesn't get recognized with his flashy style and neck tattoo, and how often he has done this now, and hitting up that international relations institute multiple times. A teacher apparently has told him to go away before

The conversation with Artyom was hilarious

First time I've seen a black person in Russia

Much much better than I was expecting. I'm actually kind of jealous of jean jacket girl's relationship with her mother. And even the bearded bigot guy wasn't all bad and had some intelligent thoughts. The American version of him on the street would not be anywhere near that smart. And the curly hair kid was just being an unserious materialistic kid lol.

Putin would NEVER attack first! Especially not civilians! And especially not every day! And ESPECIALLY not for 2 years straight! Unthinkable! I laughed when someone said they are at peace time right now too. Maybe ask your next-door neighbors how much they are loving this Russian peace time right now

Glad you're back. Quite a time for it too.

I had a big grin when Yegor got cornered on the economy and immediately pivoted to the military. Yup, predictable

Gotta love Russia getting a taste of their own medicine. Maybe if they give Crimea back, they can have the right to be mad about this

If they love North Korea so much, they should try visiting it sometime. It'll be great! Won't end up in a concentration camp at the drop of a dime or anything, that'd be crazy! Except North Korea IS crazy. Sanity is banned there. You must surrender to their craziness, at threat of you and your family's lives.

Mikhail exhibits disturbing qualities. Worshipping and venerating the might of the state (really one person's authoritarianism) over humanity and humankind itself. And at the beginning he even admits that when other countries do it, it is wrong, so why is it not wrong when Russia does it? It's just simple logic, but he is not honest enough to admit it. When you are one who sucks up to power, you're not capable of being honest about it. He thinks "the state" would adequately fill his own shoes as a father to his children if he got jailed for thinking bad thoughts... Sycophancy overpowering his pride as a father. How sad is that?

Russia's control might be too big to topple by a popular revolution, but maybe little Belarus's sham elections can be eventually combatted by the people and become what Taiwan is to China; keep the Russian culture, but without all the corrupt repressive bullshit that holds it back from competing in the modern world

8:15 I love Dmitrii's job. Literally has done more good for the world than Putin and his entire regime. And then we've got another Dmitrii right after

Why would Russia need to "annex" Crimea if Crimea and Ukraine as a whole were already part of Russia?
1
@deborahdean8867 You're right, if you have nice clothes and go to the salon, your country has no problems whatsoever

Ending on that last line hit hard

If the motherland is your mother, then you must leave your mother in order to become a responsible adult

Your spiffy outfit and comedic timing with how suddenly you drop that intense question, I totally love it
