UNrigging feels like rigging for those who previously benefited from the rigging, in the same way equality feeling like oppression to those who were previously comfortable living in privilege that served them at the expense of others. Making it fair feels unfair to those who liked when it was unfair. Being treated like anyone else is prejudice and persecution now. In truth though, the American justice system has still definitely treated Trump unfairly, but in the positive direction, going way too EASY on him. If he were anyone else, he would've been in jail a long time ago, but in America there are lot of crimes that seem to only be crimes if you are poor, because rich people can pay the fines/bail away, thus rendering that punishment moot for the rich.
He's not even currently in political office, he is a private citizen like any other, and yet he is paid all this undue deference simply because of norms that aren't even codified law. Prosecuting him while he was IN the White House is what would've impressed me. This is America passing the lowest possible bar, and we're supposed to clap. And you would think the Republican party would want to shed the baggage of the nonstop drama of this liability of a man, this proven loser who has wasted all their money, on top of him being a blatantly immoral corrupt domestic terrorist cult leader who abuses them all, thinks only of himself, and has sold this country out in ways that they would call traitorous if it were anyone else.
