  2. I think he went to corrupt Ukraine with this favor is because, them being corrupt, they would be more likely to say "Sure, sure, anything you ask, Mr. President!". And them, being the kings of corruption, would be able to spot a fellow person engaging in corruption like Joe Biden. I don't think it was Trump testing to see if they were truly un-corrupt, I think he went to them specifically for their corruption and being open to this deal.
