George W. Bush was the exact wrongest person to have in power at the time of 9/11, and Trump was the exact wrongest person to have in power at the time of the coronavirus (or any time, really). We need to stop allowing Republicans to get elected, because then they turn out to be the ones with the finger on the trigger during the most critical pivotal points history, and then fuck it all up in ways that still affect us long after they're gone. We should never let a Republican win ever again. Their party has no moral leg to stand on anymore. Those absolutely irredeemable scumfucks must never be allowed to take power ever again, and we gotta be the ones to stop them, to tell them in abundantly clear terms that their time is over.

If I were in charge, I would fully get rid of the honor system for all time so that it can never be abused again. There needs to be measures in place against these sorts of people. If all these scummy techniques have been permissible the entire time, then it's a wonder our country lasted this long in the first place with all these gaping holes. Time to put cement in those holes and bear traps for all who try to remove them. The incentive structure is all fucked up here. And then we citizens get mad at the messenger instead of the culprit. Whistleblowers get punished, criminals get a parachute. It should be whistleblowers get a cash reward, and authority figures who blatantly exploited their position of power get immediately thrown in jail, and not just any jail but the worst kind.

Republicans prefer republics, with shit representatives who don't represent us, Democrats prefer democracy, with supposedly good representatives who don't fulfill their promises that we voted them in for. I think 4-year terms are just a revolving door of irrelevancy at this point. None of these figureheads will do anything about the unelected deep state.
