The whole point of nuclear deterrence, or deterrence of any sort, is that everything is fair game if it's in retaliation. That if one makes the decision to make an attempt to kill, they should prepare to BE killed. One sword keeps another in its sheath. One having a gun means the other keeps theirs in their holster. In that sense, just Ukraine merely having these may do a lot of good, even if they don't use them; it will give Russia second thoughts of if another attack is worth it. Deterrence aside, self-defense is justified. It is the same act of violence, yet it is virtuous because it is a strike against the attacker in order to get them to STOP attacking, which they initiated. It is violence to end violence.
That's what Ukraine's war is. They stop once Russia stops. Russia, just like anyone else on the individual scale, gets no sympathy for receiving what they dish out. Sympathy is only for the families that get lost in the process because their leader got them involved as sacrificial lambs and pawns in their chess games. But Russia is the one sending them there, and the blame is squarely on them if they get slaughtered. And Ukraine has been more than a class act thus far, returning Russian corpses to the grieving Russian families that Russian forces don't even care to retrieve.
Does this set a bad precedent, like you say? Absolutely. But Russia's the one who set the precedent. Cluster bombs were already being used, just on one side. Now it has been equalized. Ukraine and Russia are both killers now, it's just a matter of who kills for the nobler reason, and if Ukraine will use these cluster bombs as atrociously as Russia does, which has yet to be seen. And it's not like America has any moral authority left to lose anyway after Vietnam and Iraq, other than "at least we aren't Russia".

If consoles didn't exist, a majority of those games would have never gotten made in the first place. PC is the evergreen dumping ground that old stuff eventually makes its way to due to being a device everyone owns already for general non-gaming use, like phones. Consoles have a lifespan by design, and that's the point: so that new hardware ideas can be done for the successor console as a baseline standard. PCs have been using the same keyboard and mouse input setup for ages, and it's likely set in stone and never going to change, so it will only ever offer a bog standard conventional experience with no experimentation with how it can be played since nobody can be expected to have any non-conventional hardware. And movement on WASD keys is basically like still using an 8-way D-pad for 3D games, that juttery motion doesn't exactly scream immersive.
The fact of the matter is, consoles have games PC doesn't have, and PC has games console doesn't have, and even when it does it has to alter the intended experience from the original hardware into something more boring for accessibility. If you go PC you miss out on certain things, and if you go console you miss out on certain things. PC master race mental gymnastics used to self-servingly ignore glaring weaknesses are the same kind used by console peasants, but always with a more unearned smug sense of superiority. By the way, any PC fan who wants PCs to be even more PC would be advocating for Linux to overthrow Windows as the default gaming platform, since Linux is as open and it gets and Windows increasingly wants to limit the usability of their platform in the Apple/Mac direction.

@Paulpoission There is a LOT of things the Constitution doesn't say, just like how the Bible's 10 commandments don't address every facet of morality. The thing is, at least the Constitution was designed to be added to over time. Shame we don't actually do that. We use the law as an excuse to keep enabling lawlessness, because we haven't made a law for it yet, because the lawless ones want to keep it gray area. The law needed to be made yesterday, but the next best time is now, and it's better late than never.
This is an issue that apparently needs to be addressed, so it's time for the law to make an actual statement on it conclusively, whether it's okay or not okay. Knowing this Supreme Court though, I have a feeling they would say it's okay, and the House/Senate will continue to not make a priority of it no matter what their verdict ends up being, because like corporations whose profit is based on the status quo remaining stable in its current form, these politicians make their money from the same.

If California swung elections at the expense of Wyoming, it at least has the amount of people to justify it, that is, more people having their say respected. That's called meritocracy, baby. If Wyoming wanted more say, it should represent more people, by BEING more people. 0.17% of the vote should count for 0.17% of the vote, and 11.80% of the vote should count for 11.80% of the vote. Is that so scandalous? Or should 2 out of 10 people overrule the will of the other 8, because that you happen to be one of the 2? A country that serves 2 people over the 8, what a wonderful place for 2 people (and what a shit place for 8)

Seriously though, the "well there's monsters and magic, yet you have a problem with the women wielding swords?" point is a pretty bad and tiredly old fallacious one because monsters and magic existing does not change the biological strength difference of men and women or how much a sword weighs. Harry Potter has magic. In that case, would you buy Hermione lifting up a bus with her bare arms, no magic? Just because one rule of reality is altered, doesn't mean all of them are. If a woman or anyone else does such a feat, it has to be explained within the rules of that fictional universe. So you guys at The Majority Report are right to make fun of him, but are doing it for the wrong fallacious reasons, and are seemingly about as out of touch as he is.
My problem with what that guy says is that so much of fantasy fiction has women wielding sword (and many other melee weapons, and even with this typically masculine personality type on top of that), and he is singling out The Witcher for it? Plus it's the FANTASY genre, which means it is what we wish possible, not what is actually possible, which is why you see mages and healers and women fighters even though that wasn't historically part of medieval warfare. In reality, men wouldn't be so good at dealing with monsters either. They're monsters. They're superhuman.
Him singling out The Witcher for this complaint just shows that he probably doesn't engage with the genre much and is yet another ignorant Netflix casual, and casting aspersions on shit he doesn't know anything about. He didn't even mention the games, which I'm sure he's not aware of because he is an old out of touch fucktard who knows nothing of the current media landscape. I very much agree with the idea that these people in positions of leadership and authority need to be held to higher standards, not lower or even equal, HIGHER. A politician saying something horrific and damaging is much different from a random shmoe saying something horrific and damaging. Prosecuting him while he was IN the White House is what would've impressed me. This is America passing the lowest possible bar, and we're supposed to clap. And you would think the Republican party would want to shed the baggage of the nonstop drama of this liability of a man, this proven loser who has wasted all their money, on top of him being a blatantly immoral corrupt domestic terrorist cult leader who abuses them all, thinks only of himself, and has sold this country out in ways that they would call traitorous if it were anyone else.

InfoWars suffered greatly for not being on the major platforms and was just as popular a show, it would be the same deal here. Same deal with taking Trump off Twitter. Taking away the freedom to paint swastikas on a public wall does not take away the freedom to paint something other than a swastika on a public wall. Banning walking around the city in a banana hammock doesn't ban people walking around with any other clothes. Joe gets singularly punished, and the people who aren't Joe, in fact, don't get punished. Easy. It would also undermine free press. Is a newspaper not allowed to select what articles it publishes on its newspaper? Ukraine pretty much has to join NATO at this point, Russia is giving them every incentive to since it's the only way for them to remain a sovereign country. NATO saying Ukraine won't become part of NATO would just leave Ukraine even more isolated and ally-less, and as everyone knows, Russia was never doing this because of Ukraine possibly joining NATO in the first place so telling them as such would have done nothing. And for those who want to hypocrisy shame NATO for expanding being its own form of aggression against Russia: no it is not. Countries joining NATO was a voluntary process and America can put bases on NATO allies as it pleases, military expansion is NOT a military invasion. America can increase the military budget all it wants, as long as it is not invading anybody nonconsensually it has done nothing wrong and has not decided another country's borders. America has done other bad things in the past and even proactively still in the present with hypocritically no pushback from the other NATO countries, but the mere expansion of NATO over time is not one of them. Russia could have stood to benefit from joining NATO themselves and have all those countries as allies, if they really wanted to. This is what isolationism gets you. We live in a globalist world now and Russia never wanted to play ball with anyone else, so they are going to lose that game all because they weren't content with their own borders and wanted a little worthless slice of Ukrainian land out of pride and nostalgia for empire dominance.

Edgar Allan Poe was a depressed drunk, and his writing is some of the best and most thought-provoking. Looking down at philosophy as a field of study is to almost say that it shouldn't exist and isn't worth knowing about. So, like with any other relationship, when YouTube crosses a red lines, it makes people reevaluate their relationship with YouTube, and realize it is one of animosity. And YouTube makes it that way. We share a country together, but one side is trying to cast others out and think they are more productive with less and less people (the most important asset of a country), and the other isn't, and is open to widening scope and working together across differences. Even if they got the precious all-white male-centric ethnostate they wanted, they would still be disagreeing with their fellow white males. The ideology intrinsically needs outgroups to fearmonger and cast out and brutalize over arbitrary differences, and it will inevitably turn inward with stricter and more unpassable purity tests to satisfy their pathological need to shed chaff.

Pissing off Rogan fans might well have been a bigger loss considering there's probably a ton of people who are there only for Rogan, but Spotify is taking big losses either way, damned if they do damned if they don't. Either way some group of people is gonna be pissed off and so I guess the best they can do as a company is stay the course they already decided upon and weather the storm. Doing anything else would probably just bring magnify the issue and bring more attention to it, and even more ire.
What matters more to me than Spotify's decision here is that the issue is being raised at all, and this prominently, so that we can all have that discussion of what responsibilities people with such big megaphones and audiences have to their audience and what degree of quack science and lying, intentionally or unintentionally, is protected and valid speech. I mean more in public perception than legally, although we do have false advertisement laws and did crack down on the cigarette industry. With great power comes great responsibility, so I wish people who fall into large power like Joe Rogan would use their power more wisely. If he's #1 in the business he should be putting out his best work, and lately he's been pretty sloppy about the info he is disseminating, to say the least. I don't think it's fair to ban Ukraine from EVER being part of NATO, it's not their fault. Isn't NATO fairly open door? What other countries get shot down from ever joining NATO indefinitely? Just say there's no plan to revisit the Ukraine/NATO discussion for the time being. Let's say 50 years. Circumstances change over time, and Ukraine being part of NATO is up to Ukraine and NATO. Russia doesn't get to decide what organizations Ukraine gets to participate in. Also, Putin's trying to separate countries from NATO is just getting them more desiring of joining NATO lol, not even just Ukraine, but Finland and Sweden are considering it at this point since Russia's tried barking orders at them in that regard too. Russia is making enemies of everyone and painting a target on its back on the world stage. Russia has no leverage other than taking hostages. Do we negotiate with terrorists? Let them rewrite the rest of the world's rules? Is that how world treaties and such work? Russia has no leg to stand on. They're desperate and risking everything for a worthless little slice of Ukrainian land, it's pathetic and borderline suicidal.
Also, doing this "give Russia what they want" NATO ban Ukraine declaration move to "undeniably prove to the world what Russia really wants" is pointless in the same way as Force the Vote; we already know what Russia's real intents are, proving them/making them transparent does not stop anything, they'll still go ahead with it and it doesn't change the arrangement of the pieces. You think Russia can be hypocrisy shamed? It's propaganda, dude, they'll just make up another thing to justify themselves. The entire rest of the world already knows it's imperialism and don't need extra convincing. Doing a logical gotcha on their propaganda pretexts isn't the magical one-shot solution you think it is, Kyle, it just makes what people already know slightly more obvious, the positions do not change, it's not about moral/legal justification it's about power versus power and bluff calling. You also don't factor in just how MUCH of a lie Donald Trump's numbers were. They were cartoonishly obscene, more than any of these other people's numbers you're throwing out. I suspect everyone else in New York lying about this gets away with it because it hasn't been put to the test in a high profile legal matter, so yeah, they should all be dealt with too. New York sets the precedent, but they can also end the precedent, and I hope they do. But because there are some unsolved murder cases, doesn't mean Jeffrey Dahmer now gets to go scot-free. It is, in fact, Amazon, a corporation/fellow non-government entity, which is most responsible for Barnes & Noble's declining business. Tim is too dim to realize bringing free libraries up in a Barnes & Noble conversation makes no sense because libraries have been around for ages, and yet still there was room in the market for Barnes & Noble and Amazon both. The existence of libraries did not stifle their viability as businesses, they are addendums and additional options. To not have libraries and have ONLY Barnes & Noble and Amazon seems to be what Tim's logic wants, and yet that would objectively suck and make life worse for a lot of people. So why is the world a better place for NOT having government-option groceries?
And lets not forget Barnes & Noble ITSELF drove away small book businesses. Now Tim cries for the loss of Barnes & Noble, when it's just bigger fish always showing up to eat the former-bigger fish, and Tim would prefer for that to continue that unabated until there are no fish left except for the biggest, apparently. Trump would put everybody in danger without even a second thought, and his only way of approaching dictators is giving them everything they want, no questions asked. The world that we live in currently is the end result of anarchy. And anarchy saw fit to create government. Pre-government, there was anarchy. Then there was government, and reforms of government, but never has anyone seen any benefit from getting rid of government after it had been made, since reverting to anarchy would not give additional benefit, only take away that which the government brought, which despite its flaws has made life easier and simpler in general by having an organization made by the people to have tasks allocated to them which lifts the burdens from all ordinary people. Power naturally consolidates, it's just a matter of if that power serves all people or just some favored people. Going back to anarchy is to go back to undoing all the consensus that has been built up and revert it back to infinite "that's just your opinion, man" from all sides down to the every-single-individual level and make life infinitely more complicated all over again, with everybody out on their own and no one incentivized to help each other since that would put themselves personally at risk as an individual.
The government helps all people without putting particular individuals at risk, that is the government's own self-interest in preserving order and fulfilling the wishes of the people (people in government ALSO being of the people). Our government doesn't conscript/force people to take IRA jobs or join the military to replenish its forces, it relies on individuals choosing for themselves to take that job as representative, as a fraction of individuals representing the whole. You can have individuals organized, but that's what the government in a democracy already is, organized individuals toward a common purpose. It's then just a matter of how efficiently it's organized and represents/carries out the will of the people. You just keep tweaking the machine. Breaking the machine will just reverse us back to a time where we once again need to build a machine, to organize all this. A country that fragments into states, states that fragment into counties, counties that fragment into cities, cites that fragment into streets, and with no cohesion anymore. North Texas using a different currency from south Texas. This guy advocates dissolving the big corporation of the government just so that it can be free real estate for all the little corporations to wage turf wars, which just turns America's relationship with corporations like Mexico's relationship with cartels (which they are subject to by not having a government strong enough to oppose them; them being a minority of private interests, the 25% this guy thinks would never take power in his world).
He admits that Amazon wouldn't profit from fixing Jackson, Mississippi's water, but the governmental institution of AMERICA would, as a sort of corporation whose self-interests is to make sure all its cities have working water, which it DOES do with literally other city. You've got Flint, Michigan too, but that's 2 cities out of the countless cities in one of the biggest countries by landmass on Earth. Pretty good failure rate, considering as comparison to his system which has 100% failure rate, since it doesn't/can't/won't even exist in the first place to serve even a single person (unless he wants to establish his own island and see how long it lasts, which of course he won't because it would mean he as an unpopular ordinary individual has to take on all that risk by himself and knows that it won't be a success, by its own merits or at all)

If anything, religion doesn't create unity, it creates DISunity; all religions say their religion is the one true religion and the others are false, and so they conflict with each other and that creates divisions and degrees of social separation. When it's hobby-based and such, it's not like there is anything stopping me from hanging out with both video game social circles AND sports social circles, or music, books, exercise, and so on. These are all intersectional, while you can only belong to one religion. And, you know, all the wars started over religion, to this very day.
It's even more divisive than race/racism, actually, since you can be mixed race. Or sex/sexism, since you can have different interpretations of gender. You can only belong to one religion, even though, ironically/tragically, they splinter infinitely just like anything else. No religion tolerates mixing different religions because there is only one world and you can only have one opinion of the world origin story/mythology for it. DC Comics characters can't comingle with Marvel characters for this sort of reason, it's fanfiction and absurd at that point, more absurd than it already normally is because it only makes sense within its own context and not integrating with other rulesets. They are not compatible with each other, it's like mixing Lord of the Rings with Star Wars, or Harry Potter with Star Trek, or Breaking Bad with SpongeBob.

Since the Republican party will continue to ride the fence on what to do about Trump, they will continue to splinter off in different directions, so allowing Trump to be able to run (and lose) again in 2024 and put forth all the effort and resources to rally everybody around a failed strategy will just result in further collapse of the Republican party and wastes time that could be spent finding an actually good candidate, but they've truly got nobody and it's a sad state of affairs for them that the shit sandwich that is Trump was the brightest hope they had in years. So by all means, keep doing it, keep fucking yourself and repeating the same mistakes. This is already a dead end, but they keep going full speed ahead, and they are gonna keep losing more people. And more people getting disillusioned with a provenly shit ideology and leaving for other ideas, it is something to be happy about, provided that they replace their shit ideology with a good ideology, instead of an even shittier ideology. Republicans are already 30% or less of the population. I look forward to that number dwindling more and more over time, just like the rise of irreligiousity. We need to abandon all these stupid exclusionary non-productive dogmas that make us waste so much of our time bickering and get to work actually filling up the holes in our system based on the scientific facts and research that is already out there that the rest of the modern world is already capitalizing on.

What misgendering is to a transperson is what "monkey" or the N-word is to black people or any other racial/ethnic/religious slur, it is extremely hurtful and dehumanizing, and the N-word IS banned from Twitter. Because it's hate speech. Harassment or violent threat-like or inciteful language likewise is not protected free speech. Disallowing conservatives from calling black people the N-word is "prejudiced against conservatives" only in effect and not by design because conservatives happen to enjoy engaging in dehumanizing hate speech against minority groups who are a protected class specifically because of all the abuse they get. Not all conservatives, but the ones that do will get banned. It is possible to be a conservative and respect other people's identities, just like how it is possible to refrain from reflexively calling black people the N-word, even though there are those who truly do just think of black people as n*ggers and think nothing of using the word so casually to black people's faces, it's innocent to them and they care not what the word means to other people, because they just can't fathom that black people are people and deserving of equal treatment and not being condescended to.
Would they think taking down Isis "death to America" videos as Twitter discriminating against the Muslim religion? Would taking down antifa videos be Twitter prejudiced against the left's free speech? Shutting down the nastier aspects of these movements does not prevent the civil believers from speaking. Notice how many conservatives are still on Twitter, yet claiming conservatives aren't allowed on Twitter, whilst saying it ON Twitter, with no issues. Just merely having these attitudes is still allowed, up and until the point where you go over that line of Twitter ToS for abusing other users, and there are plenty who get away with even that.
Making a policy against hate speech is not targeted towards conservatives just because conservatives more than other groups are the ones who break the rules of civil discourse. If casually denying other people's identity as an independent self-respecting human is what it means to be a conservative, maybe that should cause some self-reflection about how they are morally right and why it is so important to die on this ideological hill.

A BOOK. And of course, all the hideously idiotic evangelicals who follow Trump, the least Christ-like person imaginable, who doesn't even pretend to be religious with any degree of effort. These people are so easily duped, I'm amazed they have any money at all, and with how little they understand technology I don't know how they haven't sent it all to some Nigerian prince spam email. Based on the text of that Amendment, it sounds like an insurrectionist candidate would automatically be ruled ineligible, and it would be up to Congress to UNDO that ineligibility. In other words, the ban is already in effect if they do nothing. They would have to do SOMETHING to UNDO the ban. It is not Congress's job to IMPOSE the disability, it is Congress's job to REMOVE the disability. Who imposes the disability in the first place, no one seems to know. But the Supreme Court is making them have the onus to prove it (an insurrection happening) in the positive direction, rather than disprove it in the negative direction. It's like determining who has the philosophical/scientific burden of proof, and having to prove a negative. And you can't prove negatives. And the thing is, NO ONE is actually making the ruling on whether an insurrection happened in the first place. If we can't even get the definitions straight or establish facts, then none of this even matters, because we're still trying to figure out what the meaning of the word "is" is.

If the north had more slave owners and was the side willing to go through the change of giving up the slaves, that really speaks to the content of their character favorably, and the south very much unfavorably for being so needlessly staunch about slavery they could more easily do without. Fact of the matter is, the south wanted to keep slavery, and the north didn't. Fucking idiot.

You probably won't read all this, but finding a foreigner (a diplomat not even in the position to talk much shit so as to achieve friendly relations) a long time ago who is impressed with a culture he is seeing for the first time does not validate everything a country has ever done or will do in future. It is not the excuse you're looking for to dig your heels in deeper and never change. You would have seen a lot to like about Japan too if you visited at that time, that's the beauty of cultural interchange and seeing a whole new world from your own.
The fact that America allows change and is indiscriminate and allows input from other corners of the world is what makes America great. The founding of this country is based on upheaval of the orthodox European culture, made by a minority of militant radical thinkers of the time. Someone like you would have hated them at the time, just like how Martin Luther King was/is hated, just like how BLM is hated now, even though they advocate not merely for change of the country, but IMPROVEMENT of the country, to better accommodate people into that American dream it espouses. That would advocating for American to improve on its strengths, not be complacent with its weaknesses. That would be what one would call patriotic, the effort to better one's home and fight against suffering happening within it.
As for what aspects to change, that is a calculation made on a case by case basis as problems arise and analysis from a large scale is applied. How about listen to the merits of critiques from people with different lived experiences than you instead of crying out in disgust at the mere fact that critiques are being made, when this is a country founded on free speech and a flexible Constitution?
Japan lagged behind the rest of the world for so long by isolating itself and refusing to change, which is what guys like you think is the best approach right now, even though now that the world is constantly changing faster than ever, that would damn us even harder than it damned Japan at the time here. For Japan to keep on as it was would've been suicide. And look at how the UK is faring after Brexit. They've gained nothing but problems from it, and for what? This goes back to his stances on abortion, every child that exists now HAS to have been born, even though there are more denied births than successful births. If a baby was born from a rape, then it was good that the rape happened, in Matt Walsh's eyes. If one of the other hundreds of millions of sperm hit the egg, we wouldn't be here either, we would just be someone else, and the world would spin just fine without us, it would just create a new sequence of events that pertains to the people who ARE around. The world doesn't intrinsically need any one of us just because we can't imagine the world without us in it.
He also, of course, would not use this "I exist so the circumstances that led to me existing are inherently good/morally justified/God's plan" line of thinking to permit the existence of trans people. Matt Walsh, do you realize that if you blink trans people out of existence in the past, present, and future, that the world would be fundamentally different? And therefore certain people would not even be born?!

I love that Dennis Prager is still pretending he loves to talk with people of opposing views on his show. But I love more that he had little choice but to admit how obviously Matt Walsh appears to be acting in bad faith, but still won't even commit to believing David is telling the truth that Matt did in fact say that lying BS because he personally knows him and wants to continue giving him undue benefit of the doubt. And of course he's still cheerleading forcing Larry Elder upon us all, even if nobody actually likes him or his unceasing attempts to grab power. Also, Prager talking about the viral Bill Maher clip is really just an indictment about how behind the times and out of touch Bill Maher was with the left he pretends to still be a part of even back then, and of course even now.
Also, I have no regard for the institution of marriage or any religious text, but I would personally consider cheating on your wife an indictment against your worthiness to wield power, because if you are willing to lie out of convenience to the closest people in your personal life, you are definitely willing to lie to strangers. It is one of the most revealing things about someone's character one can do, it shows whether you like to merely portray yourself as honest for virtue signaling points, or if you actually live according to those principles even when it's hard. And ruling with fairness and transparency is hard. But he wants to give this hard job to morally weak people, give this selfless job to selfish people. The fact that Dennis Prager is willing to overlook that, and overlook Trump trying to steal an election under unproven/false pretenses, and his (projection) "common sense" agreement to the philosophy of electorally cheating against the other side if he can find a justifiable moral imperative (which these religious types always do, since it is a matter of the ultimate battle of God vs. Satan), it shows how dishonest he is when it really comes down to it.

Also, there are not just multiple genders, but multiple sexes too, if you consider intersex people who have abnormal chromosome configurations. Water IS a commodity, because not all places have it. This is how it's always been throughout history. Water can't be taken for granted. A town not having water is always on the table. In modern times we think of water as a right, but it's a privilege. Nonetheless, we as a society have it in our best interest to allow for everyone to have this privilege, but under some circumstances that may not be possible and water will once again be treated as the precious hard-fought-over resource that it has always been, and always will be. Even oxygen is a commodity in the context of a place where it is not free and ubiquitous, like say Mars. Clean drinking water is different from oxygen here on Earth because it is not free or ubiquitous. It takes hard work to treat and create that resource, not like river/ocean/lake water. Same with milk vs. pasteurized milk. Same with lightning storms vs. actual electric infrastructure. Never forget that, technically speaking, nothing in life is a right, only a privilege earned through hard work and societal cooperation, and with just a few tweaks in the environment, those things won't be givens anymore and will once again be a tough logistics problem that has to be revisited.

Just like how the average citizen cannot be expected to know enough about the law to be their own lawyer, the average citizen, or mentally deficient/compromised ones, cannot be expected to know right from wrong if their leaders who are supposed to represent the embodiment of right prevailing over wrong keep telling them that wrong is right and right is wrong. Similarly, we don't blame the people falling for marketing scams and false advertizers, we blame the scammers and fraudsters. This is why we have consumer protection laws. Same with gambling regulation.
If any sinister intelligence plays their cards right, they can make even sane regular Americans commit crimes, under specific circumstances. Criminals and non-criminals are not different species from each other, we are all operating under the same materials in our brains. Under dire circumstances, even otherwise-good people can do bad things. We can punish people who succumb to human nature's worst tendencies, but that doesn't mean much of anything if we don't punish those at the top who instigated it even more harshly, who prey on humanity's weaknesses

@PringlesXI A lot of the games I saw on the list are good games, with good user reviews. Not every game is Saints Row, you've got games like Sable on there. Can't imagine anyone taking issue with that game.
In fact, of the mere 16 games on the Steam curator page, the only one that has even a mixed review rating is Gotham Knights and Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, and that is purely as a result of their gameplay and dropping the ball with fan expectations. As reviews SHOULD be about, instead of the politics it seems YOU guys are largely responsible for injecting into the discourse of these games. A lot of the games on that curator page aren't even out yet.
The thing about Sweet Baby Inc is that, not only are devs allowed to not hire them (and most don't), they are allowed to not take their consultation seriously and into any meaningful effect on the game even if they did, and further still you do not have to buy these games they are supposedly ruining since there are a million more that have nothing to do with this particular company. So it really does seem like much ado about nothing. This company is allowed to exist, and you and game devs are allowed to not partake in what they offer. That's just a little thing called America, and freedom!
