The most important thing that nobody points out. He is the only person with a male genitalia since 1900 on lets say. To use a large amount of wealth to put themselves in a large amount of uncontrollable danger. Instead of maintaining a pile of extreme wealth to do the opposite.

Leave out 2. He didn't have a little bit of an ego. Read his diaries. He was straight counting to 4 on the battlefield confused like p mahomes. He knew he would be compared to stonewall Jackson and go down as a genius and he rightfully hated most of allied command. So he took the moment to step off the podium and kick cow manure on his fellow generals. He says. I know my actions will be studied at west point for years to come. I know I will be called a genius. It was competent soldiering. Put amongst sheer incompetence, I'm sure it does look pretty genius.

Heres the truth of the matter. Francis Ford Coppola has admitted trying to appeal to dual audiences in the 70s with this movie and taking some historical liberties to do it. On one hand. He wanted to paint Patton as a hero for the old fashioned movie goer. He wanted to paint Patton as a tyrant for the hippie war is bad movie goer. More historical liberties were taken to make him look tyrannical than had to be stretched on the pro side of things.

Omar Bradley. A tee totaler who did not like Patton for simply drinking alcohol or cussing in front of the men, almost was brought to cussing the British in his diary. He basically spent this part of the war constantly complaining to Patton who he knew felt like him about the British getting their way. Then turning around and playing goebbels to Eisenhower. Thats how you put yourself into a job meant for another man.
1
Interestingly enough if you watch the credits to the Patton movie. The main historical consultant for the movie is Omar Bradley.

A couple corrections here or just things left out. I will be listing them as I come across them. Leave out 1. When talking about kasserine pass. You referred to llyod fredendall as a sacked commander. This is false. Firstly. He was ikes best friend. So no sacking happened. He was sent back to train soldiers. He put an entire engineering Corp to work building a gigantic hitlerian bunker 80 miles behind front line and sat in it. The germans had cut all communications to the outside. Patton was brought forth as replacement bc of the shameful display of preserving ones own life because he had been known as the opposite. Would take foolish risks to remain up front.

Yep good old Omar Brutus Bradley and dwight I'm washington Jr Eisenhower.

Let me tell you another story about a bunch of racist generals. Named George and dwight and pretty much all the rest. Now one, had confederate grandparents. And one got put in charge. Driver selection. For the confederate general he chooses the world's first black driver of an America General. For himself. I select a first as well. A young 20 year old single British woman. It turned out to be a stroke of genius as the black man was the one of the most capable drivers Patton had ever had. I'm sure dwight knew in his deep ingrained racism, that if he just did that. He would create a super team. While making sure he was never bored whilst driving as his reward for his foresight and ability to break racism and not playing a sandbag on a rival. Just like booth knew he created a rich black man in 100 years the day he shot Lincoln. Instead of being shipped the the 3rd world to do what 3rd world's do. Mostly not eat.

Patton was ned stark basically. And his head ended up on a pike. Who put it there and why certain friends didn't show to pallbear are my big questions you didn't answer.

Also the rivalry with Montgomery has been over emphasized due to the movie. The men actually got on better than history gives them credit. Montgomery would host lavish high command planning parties and Patton would be the only senior American to show up. There was some bitterness about Sicily planning. But Patton was being hoodwinked by his then underling Omar Bradley. Omar would get Patton gassed up about the brits knowing that pattons mouth would get him into trouble. The man who was truly an anglophobe in hiding was Omar Bradley. One glance at his diary confirms this.

Donovans corpse can be dug up and have that started. How high up do we need to go. That "drunk" soldier would wished his name was hitler and he had been captured by stalin. Family probably wouldve never seen him again and we wouldve had our confession for our Patron saint. Our Joan of the arc.
1
Or maybe like Joe pesci in that casino movie. Sure George, you're about to be a made man buddy.
1
The rivalry with Montgomery was falsely built up in the movie to make it look like he cared more about being the victor and getting the glory than he did for mens lives. But in reality. He has 50 percent the casualty rates of any other allied general. Meaning his way was effective and the SAFEST.

Patton lost a game of thrones he never even knew he was playing. Why do we have confirmed ww2 assassins with dementia, American, claiming they helped kill Patton.
1
So I start to look for lannister moves in place of dna. We have a lifelong friend apparently so torn up he can't make the funeral. An ex president too. And in the midst of it all we have a spy for said man who was identified as a spy and told I want you to be my man instead, do exactly that, and then betray that friendship in every way shape and form posthumously.
1
And that sob Omar Brutus Bradley. Is the spy i speak of.
1
Its sometimes with George, wow. How can one be so smart at battle but so stupid and played like a fiddle by people.
1
I live in a tiny rural Midwestern city that has a distinction of being the tiniest city to own 3 real mummies in America. And we have these corpses on display. I could walk up break the glass and urinate on any 3 as I speak. In a matter of 20 minutes drive a few different directions. But alas. We can't at least corroborate Donovan and dig him up? I would gladly break the glass, do it, and let you decide the amount of time i needed to do for being a patriot.
1
And what I fear maybe only a retired president Eisenhower, understood. Washington repeatedly refused the power that was insisted upon him. He was a great leader. Patton wouldve repeatedly refused it to. You sought it.
1
He also sought war instead of peace times. He was miserable in peace. He was one man besides all the men hiding the serial killer tendencies as a soldier to actually and truly enjoy the battlefield in American history since the Civil War. Every other man was writing my dearest wife with gods help this war will end and I will make it home to you and the kids. He wrote his wife about his fears of the war ending suddenly.
1
Pretty much interestingly coinciding with nietchze begginging to kill God and a happy waiting valhalla of an afterlife to many logical people.
1
On another hand. Look at US Grant. Who told Lincoln the strategy that he would follow and would work like none before it. Like russia in ww2. He threw meat at the problem. And knew full well he was doing it. Had told Lincoln he had to do it to win the war. And made Lincoln promise not to turn on him at the first report of the body count coming in.
1
And thats why I digress back to my original comment. Patton was the original real life ned stark.
1
I'm not sure how it became his guts, our blood. The moniker shouldve been, he can afford to be the furthest place in the world from here and has chose not to be. Lets listen. Grant called himself a butcher and doesn't have to run around with a grants surrender, our flesh moniker.
1
Pattons real life shortcomings were not tyranicism. His real life shortcoming was blinding stupid loyalty that people very easily took advantage of to get where they wanted to be. It would be my ultimate con behind this great soldier. You could run any game of thrones you wanted to run right underneath his nose.
