  1. Because you UK is trying to be US, it's American history being mapped on to Britian. America is a country of immigrants, at the expense of the natives (They don't teach that part of history in America). Britian has been trying to be like America, for some reason I don't know why

  2.  @mathewfield7671  Niall Ferguson likes that Britain "asserted" it's ideas through Colonialism now obviously British don't like it when others are asserting thier ideas on them. Not that I'm against Britian, and I do think British should be far more assertive on it's borders.
