Macron ended up in the position because of spectacular failures of Francois Hollande and Sarkozy who were detached from any sort political reality and cared more about thier mistresses. I remember John Oliver doing segments fawning over Francois Hollande. After the failure of Hollande John Oliver never did a video about how Francois Hollande had an approval rating of 3 percent and had to step away from elections out of embarrassment. That's the difference between Elite opinion and Ordinary people' opinion.

  4. I think the political partisanship of comedy has completely destroyed late night comedy, and especially Jimmy Fallon' career. Jimmy Fallon was hit the hardest. He was not really good at regular comedy to begin with, but once Steven Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers went full on democratic party propagandists, he stood no chance. Then Bill Maher went on his show and scolded him and that beat down has cucked him completely as if he's doesn't have a spine. After that day he started doing his Trump jokes, which just doesn't seem to land and all his jokes seem to flop. He's trying to follow what Stephen Colbert does but he's not very good at that stuff. What he is good at, is being a goofy sketch comedian and there isn't a market for that one late night television.

  9. I keep hearing about India being an "Ally" of the West only when the questions are about Russia. When it comes to "action" America and the West generally chooses Pakistan whom the USA supplies with weapons (F16s) and money 30 billion dollars in the last 20 years. No one, talks about military industrial complex or sending money to foreign countries when that happens. Meanwhile Americans (Victoria Nuland) keep suggesting that India should replace it's entire air fleet with American made F15, F16 and F 18 along with it's entire Russian made Weaponry. China was chosen as a main trading partner in the East to drive a wedge between Soviet union and China. Not India! Money seems not to be fungible until Americans supply it to Pakistan or Saudis or Qataris or Mujahideens. Both India and America are democracies but both America and India are like charges that repel each other. To be honest Americans should learn from Pakistan, Somehow the Pakistanis always manage to cough out money from America, China, Russia, European union and Middle East nations.
