But if you look at his history, he is critical of Americanism, Nationalism, Communism, Capitalism, Zionism etc etc but he's never critical of Islam, Islamism or political islam infact he is very critical of any person who is critical of islam. He's a like the Ayatollah of the Left. Propagandists like Mehdi Hassan and Al Jazeera use him like a useful tool to hit thier political opponent. Both Christopher Hitchens and Noam Chumpsky are pretty much correct in thier criticisms of each other.
