Wars are not about idealism but about realism and they should be analysed as such. War is as real a situation that you can get. Russia is going to win and Israel is going to win. Not because they have "good ideals" or "Great morals" or "God is on thier side" but because they are significantly more powerful than their opponents. Ever since this conflict began, the nuclear option was on the table. Anyone who says anything else is simply lying or being naive about it. On one side there is a country with the largest nuclear stockpile in the world (Russia) on the other side there is the only country which has used a nuclear weapon in a conflict. (USA) USA is using Ukraine as a pawn in it's geopolitical game. Ukraine is a surrogate of the United States. Think of Ukraine as a buffer state (Thailand) between the French Empire and the British Empire. You'll see things much clearly. since 3 years the western Media is telling us that "win is around the corner" and now the Julian Barnes NYT is telling you that it's not a stalemate Russia is winning.
