I think Ann Coulter might be right about this that they (MSNBC CNN) are deliberately trying to prop up Trump because he might not be able to win against Biden. The recent poll drubbing of Republican party shows that. Trump endorsement can be a big gamble at times, it can be a big hit or a terrible miss. However, there are no absolutes Trump might still be able to beat the odds once again. Remember NYT was saying 99.9 percent chance of Hilary Clinton would win the election. The best candidate is still Ron de santis because he has done what he has said in Florida, he has had electoral success, turned purple state into a Red state. His pandemic response was the best, He is Young, he has been within the system and been able to still deal with the intricacies of the system. I like Vivek too but it's easier to be candidate Vivek than President Vivek and be in system and get things done. Only Ron De Santis has done that.
