Of all the BritCons British conservative intellectuals, I have always found Naill Ferguson to be the weakest. He's always comes across as a faux intellectual,pretentious, pompous, as someone trying to hard to sound like an intellectual, thinks too much of himself, knows little but advertises as if he knows more. He says things not because he believes those things but actually tries to project his views as if someday it might come true, it's more wishful thinking than analysis. He's mainly one of those British conservatives who thinks that the best way for British should approach it's relationship with USA is getting down on it's knees and sucking up to America as hard as they can "*Then America will be nice to you*" because they are satisfied with your work. That's never going to happen America is the most selfish, narcissist country in the world. It's unusual to me how self centred Americans can be. As Christopher Hitchens said once some people in America think that they are not selfish enough. America is a teenager among countries. For most Right wing Americans the world began in 1776, for the Left the world began in 1619 and they learnt mostly from the British Empire. The best British intellectuals have been Christopher Hitchens, Douglas Murray and Peter Hitchens. Niall Ferguson can be interesting sometimes but mostly he is disappointing. You can always count on him to give his opinion from a biased perspective and be slightly dishonest and slant his opinion to suit a narrative.(The same can be said about Fiona Hill) But he's just popular because he's Ayan hirsi Ali' husband than nothing else.

@apollomemories7399 Britain has been so cucked by the Americans they keep talking about Free speech laws they don't even tell Americans that Americans were a British colony. And Now The Britishers being Cucked by Pakistani grooming Gangs is the Worst thing that could have happened to them. The British politicians like churchill and Thatcher and intellectual class like Christopher Hitchens, Douglas Murray and Niall Ferguson have chosen a ride and That ride is the American Empire and they are fully on board on that train as if it's going to work out for America then they will be able to scrape out some crumbs for Britian as well. It's pathetic. Alternatively the Americans like Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro have developed a new found appreciation for the British Empire now that America is a full fledged empire like the British Empire. They talk as if they are channeling thier inner Benedict Arnold. I am old enough to remember that when Queen Elizabeth arrived in America there were massive protest in Washington DC. Ps: I hate none of them. Infact I actually think Ben Shapiro, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, Christopher Hitchens and Douglas Murray all have thier usefullness. Infact I even like Churchill and Thatcher because they served thier purpose at the time. But "Historian" like Niall Ferguson are just manipulators of historical facts. They use history to manipulate politics of today and they rely on thier title as historian to get by. Which is weasel tactic. You should just be honest and say as it is and say as you see it. I feel Hitler is the most over disscused topic of our times. The most important figure in this century was Osama Bin Laden. People don't even remember it but he had actually laid out whole plans to Subvert politics in Democracies and conquering lands from Andalusia to East Timor. Niall Ferguson is not taken seriously in Britain anymore most of his theories about "Positives of the British Empire", his stance on Israel, Capitalism, Rothschild fantasies, Islam, EU, Thatcher, Brexit and Kissinger foreign policy have been debunked and/or not taken seriously by the masses anymore. (Just an observation and not a critique) The only people who take him seriously are upper class intelligentsia who work in media and have a hatred of Russia or have reservations about China and basically like to dick ride America and see the world through the lens of balance of Power and AMERICA as the best way to achieve their fantasies.
