  1.  @Deadpoet101  Deals with America always seem to go no where. Just look at the civil nuclear deal with USA during Manmohan Singh administration. It just goes no where. Obviously sold to you by the Indian media anchors like Barkha Dutt, Nidhi Razdan and Shekhar Gupta as some historical deal. Shekhar Gupta will always remain an idiot. Selling his book, telling you the benefits of the nuclear deal, which didn't even come, but now that every one knows that these deals with America seem to go no where, he's pulling a mental gymnastics telling you that "the Civil nuclear Deal" is not important but actually the Symbolism of the deal is important. What a crock of shit! Most people don't even know that there was a civil nuclear deal. Shekhar Gupta saying the government was rewarded by the indian electorate because of civil nuclear deal tells you how less he knows about the people of this country. Some Indians have this weird colonial hangover to be liked by The West and The West have constantly chosen Pakistan over India. 1) Did they like India when (Mahatma) Gandhi was around? No. (They called him half naked fakir) 2) Did they like India when Nehru was around? No. (They chose Gen Ayub Khan on one side and Chairman Mao on the other side) 3) Did they like India when Indira Gandhi was around? No. (We have heard the Richard Nixon tapes) 4) Did they like India when Manmohan Singh was around? No. (They had a huge problem with India buying oil from Iran, they were upset with india in the UN for position on Syria and for non intervention position in Libya, The civil nuclear deal with US has gone nowhere) 5) Do they like India when Modi is around? No.
