Stephen Colbert has always been a one trick pony it doesn't matter if he has Diane Kruger, Marion Cotillard or Adam Schiff on his show he enjoys talking politics and even when actors come on his show to promote their movies on his show that's what he ends up talking about with them. In a sense Stephen Colbert was the true heir to Jon Stewart but they ended up giving that show to Trevor Noah who was neither a political comic nor a part of American culture and he also ended up losing money and ratings and Trevor Noah had to be replaced by Jon Stewart. It was a case of square pegs and round holes.

  2. I thought writing jokes in the Trump era would have been easy as the jokes would just write themselves. So, Why would you need 200 staff for the Stephen Colbert show?
