  1. You don’t understand how many other helicopters there are, especially the police helicopters, and they all have to coordinate with each other, with the police getting the lowest air space. These pilots are flying up to 2500 feet above the event, and when near an airport, there are no fly zones, so a tree is the least of their worries.

  5. It’s CHP in pursuit with LAPD backing them up by blocking traffic and side streets. How come an Aussie knows this and you don’t? LOL!

CHP are thoroughly trained in PIT manoeuvres but this suspect knows that they can’t PIT him over 40mph so when he sees the CHP unit about to try it, he speeds up a little, just enough to avoid contact. That contact has to be done carefully by police because one misstep and the suspects can be killed, not to mention innocent bystanders and other traffic.
