  1. Formula One is where the different engine manufacturers, tyre, brakes, aerodynamics etc, all can do their R&D which they can adapt to their regular road vehicles. They learn so much from everything they do and they get to keep improving things with each race. I remember many years ago, Mario Andretti came from Indy to F1 but he couldn’t get a win. F1 drivers have to come up through the ranks in order to handle an F1 car. Safety is also a huge factor in F1, done with vast amounts of information from the drivers doing test runs between races. Some F1 drivers love doing the testing because they have a great feel for the car and can detect the slightest changes in the vehicle’s response.
