Australians didn’t do the upside down thing, that was other countries. Gravity pulls evenly all the way around the orb that is Earth, so there is no upside down. Everyone who walks on the earth, walks perpendicular to the ground on every possible point of reference.

I live surrounded by magpies and they have never attacked us, because they know us, recognise us and know we aren’t out to get their nest each year. If you’re a stranger passing under their nesting tree, you will get swooped on telling you to go away. Honestly, just cross the street and walk or ride there and they won’t hassle you. They’re not monsters, they’re Dads protecting their babies!

They made a spelling error and a pronunciation error. It’s not gimpy (jimpy) but Gympie-Gympie - with a hard g. Gympie is also the name of a town in Queensland.
