  1. Ah! There’s the first flag! SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS! The flags mark off the safe zone so people don’t get caught in a rip! The waves come in and the water has to flow back out. Where two deoarting waves meet, that’s the rip and you can get carried out a long way from shore, especially for weak swimmers and tourists who can’t swim!

  5. I don’t see any flags so no one should be swimming at this end. There are lifeguards on duty during summer and they can rescue up to 150 people a day!
