  1. That box of Coco Pops weighs 950g (almost a kilo!) so $11.80 is not expensive. The 650g box is $10.00, 375g is $7.00. By comparison, 1kg box of Uncle Toby’s Traditional Rolled Oats is $6.50 and the other popular breakfast cereal, Weet-Bix, for 1.2kg is $6.00. Healthy cereals are much better all round!

  5. Sunday prices anywhere are always higher because the employer has to pay the staff double time. However, that $77 seems like a rip off to me, even for Darwin, because I can eat a three course meal at my favourite local restaurant owned by a four star chef and his wife, for less than $50, and that includes salad, main, dessert and coffee! A main would be something like grilled beef fillet with mushrooms and red wine jus, dutch carrots and potatoes dauphinoise.
