In the part after those two guys helped get the van off the road and into a driveway, the car in the intersection stopped to let the driver on the right, through, who was caught when the lights changed, but by then his lights had also changed and he was going to back up behind the line, but noticed the old lady so he stopped. The Police might not appreciate it if he left his vehicle in the intersection, so another driver assisted her.
