  1. I grew up with Netball, so as an adult, the first time I saw basketball on TV, I thought the backboard was cheating! Why do the men get help getting the ball into the hoop? Cheats! LOL!   2. Ian, it’s like basketball but it’s not basketball. Basketball is a men’s game. Women play netball and once they have the ball, they must keep one foot in place, so they can’t run with the ball nor dribble it. No dunking because her feet must be on the timber floor. Our colours are green and gold so that team was the Diamonds and they won. There are women’s basketball teams but they play men’s rules and are willing to take the injuries that go with it.
