Halloween is an American thing. Some kids tried to do it some years ago, but no one wanted to get involved so it kinda stopped. We celebrate the real feast of All Souls Day by going to Church.

Australia’s seasons start weeks before yours... Spring: September 1st. Summer: December 1st. Autumn: March 1st. Winter: June 1st. The extreme temps are rare, mostly in the red centre of Australia, but on rare occasions, we can experience one really hot day where it tips 40C, but then a southerly blows in and cools things right down.

Dacks = trousers. Tracky dacks = tracksuit pants, the knitted fabric kind, because we like to lounge around at home in them. Tim Faulkner tells you about Australian possums and their varieties: https://youtu.be/qKJFlROsaUE

You missed the money bit. It was a photo of an old five dollar note but shopped to have a different amount.

Australia has a temperate climate. In winter, it can get down to 5C at night in some areas, lower in some parts and higher in others. But in daytime winter temps range from 15C to 21C. Summer days range from 22C to 43C on heatwave days, usually about two or three of those during summer. The only snow regions are from just south of Canberra to the mountains of northern Victoria, with ski resorts in southern New South Wales around Mt Kosciusko. Snow has melted by September. Celsius toFahrenheit: Double it and add. 30, so e.g. 25C, double it (50) and add. 30 = a rough estimate of 80F.

First of all, the reader is The Lost Voice Guy from Britain’s Got Talent: https://youtu.be/xsqInns6LXQ Pay attention to the lyrics for this kids series from 1989: https://youtu.be/KPxJ6RR40ZU More lyrics, this time to Waltzing Matilda. Google it and it will make sense.
