  1. Hahndorf is fantastic! Full of artisan shops and fascinating foods to try. And it’s not pronounced “han-dorf”. It’s pronounced the German way. Ian, you need to add Adelaide to your list of places to visit in Oz, on at least one of your trips. You’re going to need a lot more than just one, or move down here for work so you can stay longer.

  2. SA is great! I used to drive to Adelaide every year to attend the F1 GP week, so while there were plenty of tourists at that time of the year, everything was top notch with regards to lifestyle, friendliness and great places to eat!

  3. Adelaide is not dry. Adelaide is a mini version of Sydney and roughly on the same latitude, despite being in South Australia. I love SA! Ian, the floods you’ve been seeing on the news, is the nation’s natural climate, with the river system in the north feeding the southern states. So in a couple of months, Lake Eyre will be full and fish will be in the waters, despite it being a lake that was dried out and cracked.

  4. That map at the beginning is a great example pf our river system. The floods in Queensland overflow into the rivers in NSW and SA. Check it out, Ian!

  5. Ian, before Television came along in the mid fifties, the news was on radio and printed in newspapers. The only place you could see film news was at the cinema and it was often weeks old by then.
