Vegemite doesn’t go off, it just dries out gradually over time. The tube would last the longest because it’s not exposed to the air, like the jar is every time you unscrew the lid. Even so, you can still use it. The salt preserves it.

Milo absorbs moisture from the air very readily. In the early stages, you can scrape it back into a powder, but just a few days later, it will be solid. An ice pick might help break it up into blocks or chunks, and that should dissolve in hot milk. Maybe. The trick is to keep the lid on very firmly when it’s not in use. Once the tin is half empty, you can transfer the contents to a zip lock bag and then put that into the tin.

Hehe! Ian, you don’t spell it like that because favourite is the original English spelling from England. It was that pesky Noah Webster who decided to remove “extra” letters and “extra” words and make up his own spelling, so now all America uses his incorrect dictionary as their source for spelling and definitions. If you were to compare it to the original source language, you’d discover thousands of words not in Websters that are in the Oxford Dictionary and the Collins Dictionary. Here’s one example: Collins- A cheque is a printed form on which you write an amount of money and say who it is to be paid to. Your bank then pays the money to that person from your account. He wrote them a cheque. Collins - check: If you check something such as a piece of information or a document, you make sure that it is correct or satisfactory. Webster’s - cheque: The meaning of CHEQUE is chiefly British spelling of check. Webster’s - check: to inspect, examine, or look at appraisingly or appreciatively. usually used with, out or over. Webster’s - check: to draw a check on a bank
