You know, yourself, when foreigners are in your country, that you don’t mind helping them if they’re trying their best to speak to you in English, even if it’s broken English, you can take time to help them much more than if they babble at you in a foreign language that you have no clue about. A single word like train or bus or toilet, can give you major clues about what they need.
