  1. My Sydney suburb has benches facing the shops, because they’re for people to rest from walking around. The bus stops have a shelter with the bench facing the street, but only the bus stops. If a mother sits on the bench with her toddler, it’s much safer to control the toddler and prevent them from stepping off the kerb.

  2. The drink is called Maximus and it comes in 1 litre bottles. I’ve never heard of it. Most of our purple label drinks are Blackcurrant flavoured. It’s not high in sugar, it contains sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, plus 15g sugar per 250ml serve, that’s three teaspoons.

  3. We do get plagues of flies sometimes, especially if there’s a dead creature somewhere or a bag of rotting food scraps.
