Is Styrofoam Recyclable?
Unfortunately, Styrofoam isn't as recyclable as we want it to be. Most Styrofoam products do contain a small recycling symbol and the #6 label. However, that recycling symbol is misleading: Styrofoam tends to go straight to the landfill unless you can find a trusted drop-off location near you.
Recycling Styrofoam isn’t as cut and dry as recycling other types of waste, like plastic. It faces a few challenges that hinder its recyclability. For one thing, Styrofoam is difficult to revert to its most basic form and very few recycling facilities have the necessary equipment needed to recycle it during the recycling process. For this reason, you'll have to contact your local recycling facility to see if Styrofoam products are accepted.
Plus, throwing EPS products into the recycling bin can actually contaminate the entire recycling bin. This could lead to the entire bin getting rejected when it arrives at a recycling facility. Why? Because EPS contains harmful toxins, and if those toxins are broken down by recycling processes, they could end up in products we use in our everyday lives.
Moreover, EPS products can hardly be reused. This is especially true for food and beverage containers, which are arguably one of the largest uses for Styrofoam.
What You Can Do
The appeal and convenience of Styrofoam are undeniable, but there are some actions you can take to curb your consumption and cut down on waste.
1. Opt for Styrofoam Alternatives
The same way we try to avoid single-use plastics, you can avoid single-use Styrofoam. Instead of using single-use coffee cups, try the Sustainable On-the-Go Coffee Cup featured in the Brightly shop. It's made from discarded coffee husk and can be reused indefinitely.
Whenever you grab a coffee on the go, you can bring your reusable cup with you and eliminate the need for Styrofoam—or other hard to recycle, single-use cups. And instead of using Styrofoam takeout containers for leftovers, use reusable containers that won't get trashed after one use.
2. Don't Just Throw It Away
If Styrofoam can’t be avoided then do the next best thing: Dispose of it properly. Don’t just throw it in the trash because that's one way to contribute to the problem. Instead, you can send it to a recycling facility that accepts Styrofoam.
Earth911 helps you locate the nearest recycling center or drop-off center—just type in your zip code, and you’re good to go. You could also collect your Styrofoam first before donating it to prevent multiple trips.
3. Buy From Sustainable Brands
When shopping, it's not only important to look at the environmental footprint of what you're buying: It's also important to look at the packaging. Look for brands that use biodegradable, compostable, or upcycled packaging.
When we shop more sustainably, we're actively voting with our dollars and telling industries that consumers prioritize eco-friendly business practices.

The Thomas Crooks Affair
A Day to Remember
by William Wells
A counter-sniper on the third Secret Service platform
had an unobstructed view of the AGR buildings. Scanning
for suspicious activity, Crooks suddenly appeared on the
ridge of Building One's roof with a rifle; the counter-sniper
focused on his head, aimed just above his rifle scope,
and squeezed the trigger, mortally wounding him just below
his right eyebrow.
This book describes the life of Thomas Crooks and his
attempt to assassinate Donald Trump at the Butler County
Fairgrounds. Police have sought to determine his
motivations which they have not ascertained. Lee Harvey
Oswald's assassination of JFK gives some insight into how
people like this think.
It deals with the events that day with Donald Trump
being shot, the actions of the Secret Service, and other
local police enforcement activity.
Reviewing news stories and YouTube videos in minutiae arrived at this incredible expose. Most of the videos are bogus about this or somewhat bogus. Examining every detail of everything that happened like the 5 cartridges expended to the right on the roof supported that he was comatose immediately after or at the time of the third shot. It revealed that he or his father had made the AR-15 semi-automatic. When he was comatose, seconds later his right finger clasping the trigger automatically fired off those five shots, the rifle at a slight angle firing above the crowd. Once clinically dead your hand remains in the position that it was in. The bullet penetrated his right eye socket pushing it back into his brain, exploding it.
Investigating the bogus videos led me to the actual story. The bogus video with the Butler SWAT team member firing the 9th shot was ridiculous. So bogus looking with the guy raising his rifle and cheering. Where they screwed up was, they time stamped it incorrectly when the "Kill Shot" was 14 seconds before.
This was really a matter of notating all the dots and connecting them, and the story was completely revealed.
I went to Madeleine Dean's Office who is on the Congressional Investigating Committee. She went on the roof with others to see where Crooks fired from. She was on her way to Washington. I handed her assistant a blurb about my book, and told him he better have her read this because the preliminary parts of their report that had been released revealed many gross inaccuracies, some totally false.

Will de real Vladimir Putin Stand Up. In his inauguration speech he said, “We have common aims, we want our Russia to be a free, prosperous, flourishing, strong and civilized country, a country that its citizens are proud of and that is respected internationally.” He added that he would be guided solely by the interests of the state. “Perhaps it will not be possible to avoid mistakes, but what I can promise and what I do promise is that I will work openly and honestly”, Putin said.
”I consider it to be my sacred duty to unify the people of Russia, to rally citizens around clear aims and tasks, and to remember every day and every minute that we have one Motherland, one people and one future.“ – Vladimir Putin

What the FBI, NTSB, and CIA will not tell you about the explosion of TWA
Flight 800, on July 17, 1996, and the resulting four-year investigation is revealed.
Major Frederick Meyer of the NY Air National Guard, piloting an H-60 Sikorsky helicopter, was on a landing approach to the
Westhampton, N.Y. Gabreski Airport when he saw a flash of light and
then an explosion miles away in the sky. Immediately, he requested clearance
from the tower to investigate. As he proceeded over Moriches Bay and
Westhampton Dunes, he saw a fireball erupt in the sky from over the beach.
Traveling ten miles at 165 m.p.h. and arriving at the site of the
explosion in less than three-and-a-half minutes, Major Meyer saw
cascading debris —and then realized he was also witnessing bodies
plummeting into the ocean.

Captain Baur New York Air National
At the January 11, 1997 TWA Flight 800 Inquiry by the NTSB, Capt. Baur stated that he was co-pilot the night of July 17, 1996 at 8:30 p.m. on a NY National Guard H-60 helicopter training mission performing practice approaches at Gabreski Airport waiting for it to become dark enough to do night vision goggle aerial refueling with their tanker.
Capt. Baur was co-piloting on the approach to Gabreski Airport Runway 2-4 and upon completion of the approach started turning to the Southwest and looked up and saw what looked like an incendiary device. He asked his engineer if it was a pyrotechnic, and then saw a succession of three explosions each larger than the other and called the tower that “two aircraft just had a mid-air off the coast” and am proceeding there immediately.
Mr. Wiemeyer, the NTSB interrogator, asked about the light conditions at the time. Baur replied that it was dusk, but it was still light out.
Wiemeyer asked about the color of the explosions, and Baur replied reddish.
Gabreski Airport weather station at 7:45 p.m. reported weather conditions at the airport as hazy and cloudy with winds at 4 knots.
