@Yates Networks Fair point if only the tracker data was between you and the Airtag and a tracker app but the fact that any iOS device announces itself when your nearby one of these Airtags defeats the privacy claim completely as it knows whos near it and report that data to Apple. What happened to the saying "Finders, Keepers, Losers, Weepers" when something is unowned or abandoned, whoever finds it first can claim it for themselves permanently. Also these Airtags are going to be in land fills since who's going to give out a phone number to retrieve the lost Airtag which by the way identifies you completely! The fact that a thief can throw away the Airtag and take the handbag really makes the Airtag contribute to e-waste. Again completely against their free carbon footprint idea 🤣 Get a De-Googled phone or De-Google a capable Google phone and you won't have to worry about this tracking that really pushes the Bluetooth Scanning tech that can be misused in so many ways like knowing if you were near a protest or being in a hostile environment or worse when you're going to the bathroom and using it! 💩

@Kevin Caryophyllene To be honest an average citizen that doesn't get involved with the law really shouldn't be surveillance like Snowden not because the citizen is a bad person but a person that doesn't want to be bothered by law enforcement in everyday life

Fair point sadly the problem is that there is no law to prohibit a private company to target private individuals and collect data and watch them 😟
