West never had enough equipment and Ukraine never had enough people.

I actually think Russian losses - on par of 70k seem realistic, on the high side. I also compute UA losses at 200k+ up to all the way to 300k. All KIA. Add WIA and other and you get to numbers that suggest Ukraine is running out of people - which they admit they are. Russia does not need any major risky offensives - of course they can surprise - they are winning the war.

@proudtitanicdenier4300 Your math is WAY off. In the middle of 2022 Ukrainian president said that the army had 1 million combatants. Same combatant can be wounded multiple times and most wounded do come back to the front. Also since middle of 2022 Ukraine did more mobilization. So They had to have more people in - lets say 1.3m total mobilized. So way have 300k + 500k wounded not coming back for an army deployed of 500k. Seems legit. Remember this is upper limit - for 200k KIA and even 400k not coming back, we have 700k available still with 500k deployed and 200k in reserve. Math makes sense & also explains why they are running low on men.

@proudtitanicdenier4300 Sure, it took me like 30 sec to find it - July 10th 2022 - google "Ukraine has one million ready for fightback to recapture south". You are not "mobilizing an army" your are mobilizing mostly men into the army - for Ukraine it also means many women - even in combat role (there is footage). Yes, Ukraine now has serious issues on the home front as well as so many have been mobilized - not everyone is in front combat role - most people are in the support. "Tooth-to-tail ratio" the ratio of 4:1 is very low for support - this is WWII ratio. Now its more like 8:1 or so ... but even if Ukraine has 4:1 I do not see a problem with this at all - a lot of casualties are in the tail - probably more then in the tooth.
