  4. Avdiivka was important for Ukraine as it was a bastion from which they could attack Donetsk and next large city is 50km away. Now with this base, Russia will be able to push west more easily - again - next city is 50km away! There are no major bastions - its just fields and few village far and between. Also it was a rout - i.e. disorganized, fleeing Ukrainian troops were chased out by the Russians with massive UA losses.

  6. As for the losses, Russia is around 80k or so, at least, Ukraine 250k KIA at least. Ukraine has around 600k permanent losses.

  7.  @rafomic4210  We already saw what Leopards did - few of them left are killed off. Number of F-16s is insignificant. They don't have 5 million - they are struggling to get anyone else - anyone. This is the main reason for not passing the 500k mobilization bill. They are now on defense and will stay that way till the very end.
